Our purpose built Cat Rescue Centre is set in three acres of rural and tranquil cat paradise!

We offer all our cats a loving home with the hope of finding them their very own 'forever' home.

At Feline Care we are not afraid to take on more difficult cases and pride ourselves on our therapeutic work with feral and nervous cats.

The main facility comprises large communal living areas and is uPVC double-glazed with under floor heating. We also have a well equipped Intensive Care Unit for poorly cats and nervous cats who require special handling. Our Jellicle pens give feral cats a secure temporary home while recovering from their operations as part of our "neuter and return" scheme.

As part of our dedication to the happiness of our residents we rely almost entirely on volunteers. This guarantees that every person working with the cats is here because they love them thus ensuring big purrs all round.

We always have room for more volunteers so please get in touch if you have a spare morning to donate... cats can never have enough cuddles!

SammiSammi and Marley are siblings who we took in as an emergency because their owner had taken them to the vets asking for them to be euthanased as he was leaving the country that morning.

They have a matching genetic disorder where their ligaments have not been formed correctly, making walking difficult and jumping virtually impossible. They will require a safe home without other pets due to their mobility problems. In their original home they were offered outside access but were reluctant unless it was sunny.Read more

Several local companies now have permanent collection points for us where staff can donate items on our wishlist. The support we have had has been tremendous and we hope more businesses will consider setting up collections.
We can offer tailored posters to suit your collection so please let us know if you think your workplace could support us!

Can you help?

All of the cats in our care are looking for their dream home so please get in touch if you think you could offer them it!

We have recently made a change to our opening hours and are now open for viewing by appointment only at all times. However, on the last Sunday of the month you are welcome to drop by between 11-2pm for a tour of the centre and to meet some of our cats. Please ring to book an appointment.

Information for potential owners

Thank you for considering adopting your pet from a Rescue Centre.

When you visit the Centre we will show you the cats or kittens we think are suitable for you, your home and your lifestyle based on the information you give us. It is essential to us that we match cats to their owners to the best of our ability as we only want the very best for our moggies!

Taking on a new animal can have its problems, so please listen to our advice, and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. The following is important when considering adoption:

The cat /s or kitten/s must be for YOU and NOT for any other person

All potential owners must be 'homechecked' to ensure you and the cat you have chosen are suitable for each other

We have a minimum donation policy for each of our cats. If you cannot afford a donation then you must question your ability to care for your cat properly. The donation we ask for is minimal compared to the cost of good quality food and routine veterinary care so if you cannot afford it we would rather you did not have a pet

Without your donation we cannot continue to help the thousands of animals abused, unloved and unwanted every year. This centre is run almost entirely by volunteers and we rely on the generosity of our supporters. PLEASE GIVE WHAT YOU CAN!

You must be able to afford private vet bills and not use other charities such as The PDSA

As the neutering of cats is such a large part of reducing the numbers of unwanted animals please note that we WILL NOT REHOME AN ANIMAL IF YOU HAVE A CAT OVER 6 MONTHS OLD THAT HAS NOT BEEN NEUTERED

All cats/kittens will have had a minimum of their first vaccination and will have been routinely treated for fleas and worms

Costs involved:

We ask for a minimum donation of £35 per cat. This rarely covers the costs involved in rescuing a cat so any further donation you can make is greatly appreciated

All our cats are microchipped before leaving the centre. This is to ensure their future safety and for our peace of mind. If you wish for the microchip to be registered to you (as the new owner) we ask that you pay £10 per cat.

Any kitten under 5 months of age will not have been neutered. To ensure your kitten is neutered by 6 months of age we ask that you pay a 'neutering deposit' which is refunded to YOUR VET after neutering. As the price of neutering varies between vets and for males and females we ask for £25 deposit per kitten. Neutering should then be carried out by our vet, Paul Jarman Veteriunary Surgery in Attleborough, and you will only be charged the remainder. If you wish for the neutering to be carried out at your local vet please discuss this at the time of adoption.
