Former residents

We like to keep in touch with our former residents and their new families, below are some of their stories. Click on the name links for the full story.

  • Boris was one of over twenty bengal cats rescued after we were called to visit a small bungalow by local council Environmental Services. The conditions in the home were horrific and Boris had spent a lot of his life living in a small cat carrier in his own faeces. The ammonia in the rooms was so bad that we struggled to breath as we removed the cats.

  • Dear old Goliath had spent 2 years looking for a home at the Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre in Sussex before coming to us to try for a Norfolk home!

Thanks to our 'Pussy of the Week' column in the Diss Express he found a fabulous lady with a big enough sense of humour to cope with his spraying! We bet he has no idea quite how lucky he is....

    "Hello

I thought I would send you a picture of Goliath in our kitchen, eyeing up the vegetables!

He is getting on fine, although spending most of his time outdoors.

  • Simon & Tartan had lived at Feline Care for over five years. They were a true love story as they met in one of our cat pens and grew to be inseperable. Though Simon was a fuss-pot Tartan was very scared of humans and we are all so happy when the pair finally found their 'forever home'...

    "Hi to you all

  • Tia and Tin Tin were being 'feecycled' through the Breckland Freecycle Group, an online network set up to keep "useful items out of landfill". The group allows the passing of pets from home to home to home, unchecked and like worthless inanimate objects.

Thank heavens we responded and collected them immediately. The pair were riddled with fleas and Tia, only a youngster herself, was pregnant. She abandoned her kittens at birth, having produced no milk.

The pair deserve the gorgeous home and loving home they found...

  • Hi there,

Thought you'd like to see these photos of Basil (Pebbles as was!).  He's settled in very quickly and seems to like his new name - well, he comes when he's called anyway!  He's such a good boy, we all love him.

  • Bumble is one of our gang featured on The Paul O'Grady Show...

    Dear Feline Care

"Just to let you know Bumble has settled in with almost frightening speed..... this morning he has been chasing my rather anxious cats around the kitchen!

  • Dear everyone, human, canine, and particularly feline, at Feline Care.

Hope you are all doing well, especially my old pals there. It has been 4 weeks since I left and I thought I’d write a few lines to tell you about my new life in Norwich.

  • Just a quick email to let you know that Daisy and Mae have settled in really well in their first 3 days at their new home....

Daisy was confident from day 1 and explored the whole house.

Mae was reserved as we thought she might be but after a few spending her 1st day refusing to come out of the spare room she is now out and about (indoors of course) all the time.

They get on well, running up and down the stairs together and generally having a play with one another.

  • Twix was our Supermum of 2008, arriving heavily pregnant and with cat flu. She went on not only to recover fully and raise her own kittens but she also happily fostered many other orphaned kittens over the following weeks.

    "Hello all at Feline Care,

  • Dear all,

Just a note to say how our new babies are doing. We renamed them as they never understood their names, they are now Nina and Harry, (chosen from Ruben's favourite tv show - 3rd Rock From The Sun)
