Goliath
Dear old Goliath had spent 2 years looking for a home at the Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre in Sussex before coming to us to try for a Norfolk home!
Thanks to our 'Pussy of the Week' column in the Diss Express he found a fabulous lady with a big enough sense of humour to cope with his spraying! We bet he has no idea quite how lucky he is....
September 2009:
"I thought I would send you a picture of Goliath in our kitchen, eyeing up the vegetables!
He is getting on fine, although spending most of his time outdoors. He was in yesterday evening as the weather wasn't very nice, but as soon as I opened the door he was out of the cat flap like a flash of lightning.
He seems to have called a truce with my other cats, and no one has any scratches so I guess everything is fine.
I may well change his name in the long run, as Goliath is difficult to call, and Golly is a bit silly but thats what he has at the moment..."

"Just thought you would like another update, as things are moving quite fast with Goliath now. First off he has been renamed! He is now Ziggy, after several other names, he seemed to like that.
He has now decided that he only wants to be inside now, and we have a job to get him to go out - if we put him out the front he just goes round to the back and in the cat flap, and if you pop him out the cat flap he just waits until you've moved away, and comes back in. He goes out once a day for about 30 minutes, and thats it Therefore we keep him in the kitchen at nighttime with a litter tray, but only a tiddle! He doesn't spray anymore, and as you can see from the picture, will spend all day on our bed - or a comfy kitchen chair, and in the evenings will come in the lounge, sit on my husbands lap, and sleep, other than when fed titbits!
I do think he may be a bit older than originally thought, as he seems to move quite stiffly sometimes, especially one of his back legs, but hopefully his retirement will be a long and happy one!!!"
