Grace and her babies

We tried for a long time to catch Grace (named after the kind lady who let us trap the hungry mum and kittens in her garden!) in the centre of Diss.
Our volunteers spent many hours holding a piece of string and watching an empty trap until finally one early morning we had our opportunity! By then the kittens were older and already used to a feral life so a lot of work had to be done to tame the wild kitties.
Thankfully the whole family have now found a home and their mother Grace is going to stay with us.
Here's news from some of Grace's babies....
Alfred was the most confident of the group and was reserved a couple of days after returning from his foster home!

"Hi! My eldest :) didn't like it much and has been hissing and "roaring" since I've arrived home! He's even angry at me! :) The tiny one is in the bedroom by himself and seems to be getting used to the surroundings and is playing already. Tomorrow I'll try having them look at each other again for a little while and see how that goes. I never thought it was going to be easy and it sure doesn't seem like it's going to be smooth sailing but, as I promised, I'll keep you posted.
Thank YOU so much for allowing me to bring this lovely baby home.
Sincerely
Maria"

"What an amazing b-day present I've got! We've reached breakthrough! :)
The hissing and roaring have stopped and the running around the house chasing each other has begun. Tonight I woke up in the middle of the night and there they were, both sleeping next to me on the same bed (not next to each other yet but I bet that'll be the next step :)) I believe these two were made for each other and that I'm extremely lucky to take care of both! Pics to follow!"

"News couldn't be better! Things are great! The 2 boys are playing and sleeping together already. I'll be sending you some pictures soon (as soon as I replace the usb data cable for my mobile that John chewed to death!).
Today is the first day I'm leaving them on their own so can't wait to get home!!"

"Alfred is doing fine and having a tremendous time with John! They don't care about me anymore (unless it's for food) :))
I will most definitely keep you posted! You knew exactly what cat suited us and we suited him too! I wake up everyday with Alfred right next to me purring his little socks off, bless him and John on my other side! :)
It's such a shame I don't have a bigger house otherwise I'd be up for adopting his sister!
Take care
Maria"

Charlie was the slowest to come round but thankfully her fosterer's family adopted her!

"Dear Feline Care and my mum Grace,
I am very happy in my new home and have made friends with a huge orange cat called Fanta who I like to play with. There's also an old grey cat called Mo who doesn't like to play but that doesn't stop me from bashing his tail.
I have my own bed that I like to keep my toys in, as well as anything else that's not nailed down. I love going out in the garden but recently it's been covered in cold white stuff that makes my tummy and paws wet.
Suddenly a tree has appeared in the house that is covered in shiny things for me to play with. I've tried climbing up the tree but the people I live with seemed a little concerned. Still, they love me lots and play with me all the time and brush me, which I love.
Love from Charlie"
